Couldn’t get near an internet connection yesterday.
Have had several nasty shocks over Master A’s statement not least that while I thought I had a specified period of time to let them know I wanted changes to be made, they are saying I must have listed all the changes I want and objections by that time, and the date falls on the weekend so apparently I must know exactly what I’m after and have delivered it by tomorrow. I can’t specify half of it without the school and outreach teams help in what is and isn’t possible and they can’t/wont talk to me until next week! Arrgh! I hate this process so much, it should be about helping the children who need it most and instead it seems to be about seeing how much available help can be kept hidden from them! If you don’t know it’s there they wont tell you. Isuppose it's the same for everyone but what a negative way to do things. Thank you for letting me get that off my chest!

Dooley books are here, thank you so much. Master A’s excited by them! Sad but true, bless him. 🙂

Coffee is good for you:-x - it said so in the Daily Mail recently and I believe everything the papers say. Well occasionally, when it suits me:-).

Arti, if they cannot talk to you until next week then ask for what you know is needed and stop worrying about what other people say is possible without being unrealistic of course.

G/p they are saying any sort of properly trained specifically targeted help is unrealistic and not how the school or LEA operates! They want to be re-active not pro-active. :_|
They expect to simply take the money and continue to have a patchwork of who ever happens to be available to sit in class with him and 'deliver' everything from explicit teaching about social understanding, to spld problems, to CBT, to differentiated homework, and that they shall monitor their own success.
They say that as there will have been whole school inset day training anyone will be able to automatically properly support him and teach him to overcome his difficulties. The same claim as made up to now, everyone's been trained so there shouldn't be a problem, it must be the child's fault.

Towery 4. to 4.30am seems to be a particularly sensitive time for sleep disruption.

Hmmm, G/p how very tempting!
Have found new resolve having managed to find a bit of legal stuff about working days and non working days and asked them if they where aware of it, so I now have 'till Monday, so am pumping large amounts of drugs and coffee into me and headed for some rearranged meetings later. Have realised I probably can actually completely rewrite this and make it logical and justifiable, but my heart sinks when I think of all the other poor parents in our borough faced with this sort of thing. It’s so daunting being surrounded by professionals telling you how little chance you have and not to bother, and nothing workable can be provided, at every twist and turn, but I think I shall be thinking ‘’Well I could just get a chainsaw’’ through most of today!

Good luck with daughter, Master A has been up since five and of course is now running late getting ready for school!
