Towery - daughter and I have agreed we won't do the lunch - we're going out for dinner instead. I still weep when I see people with their elderly parents and daughter finds it so embarassing in restaurants :^O
Seems strange not going to Mum's or taking her out, not getting her flowers etc (except for her grave). Still - tis all part of life's rich patern. Now - enough sentimentality for this hour in the morning. Off into town for the day today so must join the commuter hordes.

Momma, I can sleep - just have kids and OH to show the door to. Always up weekdays by 6.30, earlier if they are at school. Coffee first then OH, then daughter, then son(who is still asleep with Classic FM blaring out!).

School and LEA have both cancelled todays meetings so another day of working on the flat.

Granny will be thinking off you on Monday.

Towery I told Master A about the gulls and he said (meaningfully!)that'll be them showing off to each other before spring! Afraid we are very full of colds that just wont shift.

:^O Elaine! That's a difficult one. It's easier with just one child - I allowed her some leaway when she got a 'proper' boyfriend and then when I met my new partner shortly afterwards - what could she say??!!
Momma - hope life's not too hard at the moment.
Hopes that the Arti lurgies are being blown away with the wind.
Stirs up Towery's pile of huggles and wafts them round the thread (((()))) for everyone in need of them.
A lovely sunny day here - a bit windy but off shortly to meet some friends for coffee - then meeting up with my best friend who's visiting from Canada (haven't seen her for over a year) and then meeting up with OH for dinner.

Pinch punch first of the month and no returns, and happy St David's day to the Welsh contigant!

We are preparing for what looks like it's going to be a decisive win over the landlords on Monday which if it happens is likely to bring a swarm of builders very swiftly afterwards. Everything's already all over the place from the flooding so we're trying to get it all boxed and piled up outof the way. We're lurgied up to the eyeballs but in good spirits at the prospect of the end of a nightmare either way.

(((Momma))) sorry you couldn't sleep and that you've had upsetting news.

Dooley good luck with that one!!!!! (Older lad has gone and got engaged. She's serious and knows what she's getting into, but as for him.....hmmmm)

Floaty I have to apologise for wishing rain in London for Monday and Tuesday, but it will be really fortuitous for me if it does! Hope you have a lovely day. 🙂

Gp how awful to never get a lie in, now we are retired we get up when we wake up unless we have an early appointment somewhere.

Towerey we get seagulls occasionally but I think they come from the tip!

Morning all. You all sound bright and cheerful. Very bright day outside, not so good inside. Incubating a streamer and daughter has just hung up onus because we've refused to pick her up from a funfair(1 and a half hours out of our way!!!) if they can get a lift there!. Very, very windy - hoping I can get the washing to stay on the line, smells so wonderful at this time of the year.
