Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Ooo the Lion King, I remember youngest seeing that while he was at school, I'm glad you enjoyed, its one of the many west end shows I'd love to see 😄 ...... its too far to go from here though unless I'm prepared to pay & arm & a leg 😞
Quiet enjoyed my drive this evening it was nice & sunny .... although I'm glad we don't have motorways round her it would probably have cut the time by 2/3rds if we had :^O
Sons ok, although his arm has blown up like a ballon on the journey home & has No feeling at all in it  ........ at least he didn't end up spending a night in ICU like one of his previous "day" surgerys 😐

I will wait & see how much help (if any) he gets from the GF  😛

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

PCC, well done in managing a night on your own.  I'm well impressed.  I can understand where you're coming from because I'm not too keen on being in on my own at night when I've had my mum in hospital.  :-x

CK, hope that your son's alright and the you manage the drive alright.:-x

We've had a lovely day out today.  We went to a garden centre near Preston.  For lunch, we had a trip on a barge on which we had a hot pot lunch and either tea or coffee.  We then had time to look around the garden centre and we left for home at 4pm and arrived back home at around 5.30.  To top it all, the weather was lovely even though there was a bit of a breeze around.  I'm shattered but I think my mum's worse.  Methinks that it will be an early night tonight.

Was it near Barton and have you ever been to see their Christmas displays? 🙂

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Glad your drive wasn't too horrendous CK. I hate driving. We were watching the London Marathon the other day and it went through my mind that I wouldn't even like to drive 26 miles! Have had an evening of other's problems. Both boys and next door neighbour/best friend. Nothing in the least bit serious but I've done a lot of nodding!

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

CK she is one adorable babba:-x  still want one.  Did the jacket fit or did it go to the charity shop?

How is your son this evening?  He'll find it hard to sleep if he's all strapped up.  Does that mean he'll be given time off from Daddy duties?:|

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Thanks Rainy.

It will all depend on what mess I find when I get to work tomorrow - well actually later today. I had hoped to finish off everything, leave my desk clear and everything up to date. Then I got about 10 hours of another department's work dumped on me, and told to prioritise it. I had hoped to finish work at 5pm, and be able to spend a couple of hours at home, just getting my stuff ready before I went to the hossie, but now it looks as if I shall have to be up at the crack of dawn so I can get everything ready before I go to work, and will have to go straight from work to hossie.

Oh well, I suppose that being busy is better than being bored and I can always get my own back by getting the consultant to add "work related stress" to the sick note.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

You are very welcome - remember - red hair and Parliamo Glasgow - I'll have elbowed myself to the front :^O  Seriously though let us know what's what as soon as you can.

I has the worst day I've had for ages, including the shakes (not dissimilar to your spasms), doing great when I got up, showered, laundry on, dressed - then - bam - you know.  Dropped the teapot - so now I'm covered in tea - had to clean up mess - went back to bed.

Himself clearing out son's flat in Edinburgh - phones - what do I do with all this stuff - me - put in box in street with 'PLEASE TAKE' in big letters - nice argy bargy about that.  When he went outside 20 mins later all gone.  It's flatland, you know, all kids, so then put out coffee table, rug and some Ikea bits - same happened.  He was amazed.

So you take care - no point in saying take it easy .............................. goes off muttering 'I don't know how she does it'. xxx.

RDW, hope your day was just a little blip & things are better today xxx. SC hope all goes well xxx

Off to look at a care home this morning, lovely email from the owner sending me a copy of thier latest government (granny version of Ofsted) report. Also have done a few internet checks on them & they are looking promising, they've just won an gold award for 'End of Life Care', so hoping that this will be 'the one'.

Then this afternoon I'm over to my daughters as it's my grandsons 10th birthday today & he & 6 mates are off to the cinema for the evening, I'll be looking after the 2 little sisters so that he can enjoy his evening in peace.

PS Welshie, love the little christening set. My eldest had a set similar to that when she was born, it had a little hood trimmed with swansdown.I'm sure you'll sell that quickly
