everytime i give it someone they always go, "ooooooooooh":^O

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

It's so amazingly easy!  Hubby had nipped out and somebody came for some chicken food.  I'd already put a 20kg bag in her boot, no trouble.  Then she asked for grit, I was BENDING down and hoiked a bag round so I could read what it was, and that's how I did it. My silly fault!  Hubby doesn't do TLC and if he tries it annoys me, so it's best he stays outside with his chickens!:^O

Good afternoon ladies :-x

Oh Mags he is gorgeous, looks older than 6 days,  :-x

Ck boys will be boys, think they know better, sometime's i think they like to be moaned at just so you can give them a sly cuddle later :-x

CG ouch! the cold weather doesn't help much, there are some patches you can get that gives a little heat out for about 8 hours, daughter got me ome last year, when she picks G/son up i will ask her what they were called, hope the pain eases soon :-x

Today we have made bread from a packet lol ( thought that would be easier for G/son he is only 3) he made pizza with his and ate it all lol, he left me a nice mess in the kitchen tho, 🙂

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

marinara is a basic tomato sauce with basil & garlic
its probably the very best known italian sauce there is
most people dont add the quantity of olive oil as they think its too much
its not, its what makes it

8/10 i cook italian

i am however on a bit of an american kick at the moment
not burgers etc, proper deep south cooking
trying to master cornbread
hmmmm its not as simple as it looks

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

I like to add olive oil to cetain dishes it can improve them.

We have used all the pasta sauce i made, so its back to Jars for us.

we have been watching jamie oliver's 30 minutes meal cookery program, he uses loads & loads of olive oil, far too much, i think in some cases it must overpower the overall dish.

Wasn't cornbread cooked in the open over the fire, or am i going to far back :^O

Hmmm ................... Lentil soup has never sounded appetising to me, so I've never tried it .. perhaps I should 😐
I've never made a soup, the odd time I have it, I buy tins but there is only me in the family that eat it.

Runs round to give a backrub to CG, backpains not good :-(, hope it eases soon :-x

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

Dads isall  home made

boil a ham,  use that for the base

add onions, carrots , lentils (he used to soak some before adding),  if he didnt want it clear he'd add potatoes

he used to make meat n tattie pies

him n mum always shared cooking - he used to work shifts as a bus driver til he retired

(he is Scottish born )
