Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

I made the cookies merlin.  Not a great success, but I know why and will do them again, properly!  I was in a bit of a rush and couldn't be bothered to bake them in two batches, so put them, squashed up, all on the one tray.  I had a good idea that they would spread into each other.  That really wasn't a problem as they still separated nicely when they were cooked, the problem was they didn't cook in the eleven minutes, because they were squashed together.  They were in about twenty minutes by the time I thought they were done, but that was too long and they're rather 'crispy'.  The other problem was the fact that I put half walnuts in as I didn't have any choccy drops, so they taste a bit walnutty!:-(   :^O  But I'm sure they'll be delicious if I follow the recipe in future.:-D

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

I guess I'm not supposed to put this on here, but I wondered if it was any good for the felt gingerbread men makers, who couldn't find the right colour?

The censoring on here is getting ridiculous! After non stop rain yesterday & overnight it's a lovely day. We were all a bit late getting going today. Not even taken the dogs out yet!
