Sunday has come round yet again...boy the week flies by.

What is your Sunday lunch....Mine is the usual Roast chicken, new potatoes, runner beans, dwarf beans, broad beans, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, spring greens, yorkshire pudding and gravy.

As usual it will be a long walk with the dog to walk lunch off.

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂

Don't have Sunday lunch we have it tea time as everyone is doing their own thing.

Today we are having a rustic pheasant (from the freezer) dish cooked in the cook pot all day, with New Potatoes, french beans, roasted parsnips yorkshire pudding and onion gravy. followed by rhubarb crumble.

Pudding is lemon meringue pie or rhubarb crumble

Ours will be later tonight & will be roast chicken (leftovers already earmarked for a curry in the week), cauliflower cheese, peas, roast potatoes, yorkie puds & going to try a new stuffing, porcine mushroom & garlic instead of our usual sage & onion.

We are going out for Sunday lunch but it will be a roast .......its usually a choice of meats with the usual trimmings ...its our Sunday treat...

I made a casserole of chicken thigh fillets, cannelli beans, bacon and tomatoes with herby dumplings on top and for afters an autumnal crumble....... apple, prunes, peaches and cinnamon. Topped with custard.

Life is too short so enjoy it while you can!

We had Saturday & Sunday roast as the family were here. Lamb yesterday & Pork today.

Couldn't manage a roast dinner - had a boiled egg and soldiers.

no roast for us but for afters we had a home grown apple and rhubarb crumble, and it was lovely! I'm right chuffed with the apples as last year the tree looked like it was dying, only two crummy apples on it, but with some TLC it's giving loads of apples this year.
