Oh my awful day!

What a day I have had, started in the garden at about 8am, thought I would do some digging, spade goes in heave and guess what handle snapped, ground a bit hard, thought I had better use fork fork goes in, and I bent the prongs.  Tidied up lovely filled the green bin, got out the lawnmower, mowed half the lawn yes you guessed it mower broke. much swearing and stamping of feet later went off to get strimmer, battery flat aaaarrrrgggghhhh, got the other strimmer, no cable.  Scream.

Put out washing rained, left it out what the hell it would dry eventually. What happens then neighbour lights a darn bonfire.

Somebody was going to get it by this time I was fizzing good to burst.

Hubby rang, going to be late home, and have I rung the painter, no I replied sweetly and he said why not you have got the day off what have you been doing all day !!!!!!!!!!! Oh and whats for tea something nice I hope.  Pizza I replied as I have been busy, oh he said is that all thought as you had been home all day it would be something nice.

Need I say more.

i have had a bad day to just done 3 days hard graft at work(normally only do 2) so was looking forward to a nice 40 winks oh was at home with the carpet fitter relaying new carpet on stairs.as i sat down with a nice cuppa he says do you want me to take hoover upstairs for you.he then got half way up and he and the hoover came tummbling down spread eagle on floor head bleeding arms bleeding and back agony.so as i did not want him to move i called 111 the new health phone line .spoke to nice woman for 20 minutes then she said ambulance on way.try to keep him still on the floor.so he layed there for nearly an hour getting pretty hacked of before paramedics came..they checked him all over and finally got him of the floor.and patched him up.i have to watch out for side affects to head injurys for the next 48 hours so sleepless night for me

thanks for the flowersi am treating myself to a nice glass of red..have just cooked his tea.and now i am ready for bed.

his aches and pains are now kicking in.me think he may be very stiff nad very sore tomorrow.

blimey!! you two have been through the ringer today, sorry about Mr Cookie's fall, yes could have been a lot worse. He'll really be sore tomorrow and for a couple of days.....

anyone know how the hoover is?

Aw cookie, how awful..........................................that he didn't vacuum the bedroom for you!  Still, it could have been worse I supose, he could have broken something, such as the vacuum cleaner!  

Aw, Joking apart, it's a good job the cleaner didn't come down and clobber him too hard isn't it.  I hope he feels better soon.  (I was going to say tomorrow but the chances are he'll feel worse then unfortunately.)

Ah well yesterday!

Hope OH is not feeling too sore, Cookie.

Now more amusing than anything.  Just not to me.  First thing OH hogs computer.  finally get to stuff I need when he phones customer(without checking with me first), customer wants a machine but wholesaler say it's obsolete but they have some left but they aren't on website so there he is trying desperately to order on the website!. Cue plea for help.  Also had despatches to sort, Asda order being delivered, son practising the piano as loud as he could and washing to put on line - not to mention huge backlog of paperwork.  Signed up for the new insurance company on website and haven't a clue what password etc I used!!!!!!!!! 

Then I had to go out to babysit daughter's flat while she went out.  Screeched in to find 6 hulky workmen.  6!!!! they'd all gone within 5 minutes Washed up her lunch things and had a very pleasant hour until i picked her up.

Had to go buy shoes and stuff, so off we went.  No problem there but er eye was getting very sore(new contact user).  Went home and she couldn't get it out.  Ended up trip into town to opticians and lens had a tear in it!. So that sorted we had to off to MaccD's drivethrough 'cos little un was starving and nearly asleep and i don't drive after dark and it was getting later and later.

Meanwhile son was trying out his culinary skills on a new recipe.  Well he phoned for directions to the minced beef.  Then he phoned to inform me he couldn't work out how to use the can opener(it isn't that straightforward), then to ask why I wasn't there for the serving of said dinner(him not being up to speed 'cos OH was hiding out in his shed!) but did agree to put it in the oven for me(and very nice it was too)

So instead of getting home by 3.30 I finally got home after England match kicked off.  

Have a "free" day to work on Friday - the 13th AAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHH!

Cookie, hope OH isn't too sore this morning, but I am sure you will be looking after him!.

I know every muscle in my body is aching and I was only gardening, goodness knows how he must be feeling.

Cookie.... your OH is norty trying to get out of hoovering up! Hope he is feeling better now 🙂
It's a shame he had to wait so long for an ambulance. I had a first responder arrive within a couple of minutes when I had anaphylaxis.
Just as well really, as my family were useless! I had to stab myself with an epipen as I thought I was dying

OH has epipens.  When they go out of date he lines up his employees and any of the family who are around and demonstrates how to use the(out of date) pens on the nearest bin lid.  Scary!.

update   the good news is the hoover is still working and i have now hoovered all the stairs and barthroom so my new carpet on the stairs and new vinyl on bathroom floor looks great.

by the way oh is feeling very sore but ok

Some men will do anything to get out of the hoovering.

I am taking it easy today, have just been out and bought soil and plants for my winter hanging baskets so I am going to get my scruffs on and go into the garden, no electricals involved.
