How long does it take...........

for the authorities to let you know whether or not an appeal against a parking fine is successful? Their site gives info on just about everything but that and the waiting is getting on me nerves.

On the road for 57 years without a ticket then get one for forgetting to put my clock on with the blue badge.

I've appealed several, Tilly - it normally only takes a couple of days. How long have you been waiting? You can also email them.

Re: How long does it take...........

On the other hand, if you have forgotten to display your blue clock badge, you may not be successful. A lot does depend upon displaying the correct info. (The TWardens take photo evidence nowadays.

Having said that, we appealed one that said the car park ticket was not displayed on the driver's side. We were successful - sometimes the wardens are a little over-zealous.

Did you state in your appeal all and anything that might have helped your case?

Re: How long does it take...........

I sent the appeal by email last Saturday and hopefully I included everything that was needed.

Re: How long does it take...........

If by "last Saturday" you mean 27 April, then you may not have heard anything yet, but will do soon. Remember, Saturday and Sunday are not considered business working days by offices such as the Council. So someone will have received it on Monday, takes time to investigate your claims, they should reply via email, if that is how you contacted them. (Although you should have received an automated response from them, acknowledging your email msg).

If "last Saturday" means 22 April, then you should most definitely have received some sort of response from them, and if you haven't, then you should chase it up. Do you have a telephone number on your ticket? Some contact number should be there - call it, keeping at hand your details for when the operator asks, (the PCN number, date and time, etc) If you don't have it, then search the number on the internet. They're usually quite responsive (and sometimes actually helpful), just make sure you have your details to hand, and dates when you sent your appeal.
