Ignore my other thread. I don't know what happened but it wouldn't let me post yesterday! Thanks for your congratulations I will pass them on!

It does seem a long time away, but I'm sure it will come around very quickly. We are having a 'girlie wedding' day tomorrow. Both daughters and I will be sitting around making plans. I'm really excited. Looking forward to getting everything sorted!

I've just been told my daughter #1 that 'as I am Matron of honour, I have the job of arranging the hen night' so apparently we are off to Vegas!

My Goddaughter is getting married 13 weeks on Saturday which is 21st September.  So long as she doesn't want me to wear a hat or fascinator, everything will be fine.

Are you sure that it is not this year.

When I got married in Register Office in February 1989, we went to book in September 1988 and was told to go back in November,  as they would not book more than 3 months in advance.

Maybe the rules have changed, or it varies from place to place.

Congratulation to your daughter and her fiancé.

Yes I'm positive it's next year! It costs £24 to get the date and that lasts for 2 years with one change of date. If you change more than once you have to pay again.

Books, my post ^^01.37pm  about matron of honour should read I have been told BY daughter #1.

Oooh, congratulations

Our daughter & her b/f of 8 or maybe 9 years have announced their wedding, to be on December 21st

Yes, December 21st

She's asked me to plan it & I'm getting on with it.  They are Registry Office too, & want more of a Christmas Party than a weddingy vibe

It is hard to talk wintery in this heat I can tell you :^O:_| but if I don't get things booked in now, it'll be October & everything'll be taken that near to Christmas

Oop, just remembered it's forbidden on here to mention the festive period at this time of year

Can you forgive me?  Like Izzy, I'm excited!!!!
