Accessing messages

Think this question may have been asked before, but please can someone tell me how to access my messages from this site? I'm having to sign in from my email address to see them.

Under where it says Family,home &  garden ( top left hand side ) is your ebay name and a little grey envelope , just click on that envelope and it will take you to your messages
