A moan-free post :)

Ooh I am off to a posh ball on Friday and the legendary Russ Abbot  will be seated at my table and apparantly Billy Ocean is the entertainment 

*wishes they had managed to get One Direction*

But I feel like a right *pudding* in my posh frock. I bought this in the sale in January (for only £25), when I was shopping for a different party.

I have to wear a sparkly black shrug with it, but it looks ok-ish. I hate dressing up!

I will be digging out my silver sandals and hoping they are still comfy enough to wear - I have just started to get plantar facilitis in one of my feet again 😞

I was pain free for a year and now it has just returned the last few days!

As this is moan free post, we will having friends coming from their tea on Saturday and they are bringing my Goddaughter's 2 year old daughter Grace and I am really looking forward to seeing her.  She's a little love and ever so polite.

The do I'm going to is, I believe, a charity ball with an auction, so not really looking forward to the palava. But it's in a lovely location and I know the food and service will be amazing, and I know everyone who we're sitting with, so it will be a rare night out. And the charity is a very worthy new cancer charity, set up by a friend of a friend who is going through it right now, and is fighting it by helping others. 

Grace sounds lovely, I hope you have a lovely time

Friday was great! The do was at Wentworth (the posh golf venue) and there were some very glam guests there. 

Billy Ocean was good - just did 3 songs. 

Russ and his wife sat opposite me and were very welcoming. I have seen them at two other events, but this time it was very cosy.

Was still very envious that Trish met one of the One Direction lads on the golf course a few months back 

But she was very nice and friendly.

Had 5 minutes with Russ to myself, which was daunting. I had no idea what to say  so asked him about what he's upto work wise and then some general chit chat.

He is so relaxed and laid back. He is still so cool!

Saw Billy up close, and he had a photo with my friend. And then Russ jumped in on the pic too. (I have cropped my friend out of it)

I too was unaware of the petition ...sorted now ..

We have heard NO fireworks at all , although we were away Friday1st and 2nd Nov...

There was an organised charity event 1 mile down the road on the 5th ...but did not affect us.....
