eBay Counterfeit Goods

I've been searching for a particular golfing brand on eBay recently, J.Lindeberg to be precise. I'm minded to just put this post on, hoping that someone from eBay might actually read this themselves and give me an answer, a genuine truthful answer although not sure I'll get one.

During my search for this brand, I have recently come across a website, claiming to be run from an address in London but when you look a little closer and investigate using review sites, it becomes quite clear that they're in fact, a business running from China and selling counterfeit goods and there's not a single review offering anything positive about the site or their products and basically there's a massive red flag over this particulr company and today, I have found the same goods on ebay beign sold by someone else with the seller being registered in China and deliveries taking several weeks to arrive which is understandable, however, they're still charging good money for what is definitely counterfeit goods.

As a personal seller, I am not allowed to sell counterfeit goods and now eBay have things in place to authenticate goods but yet for a seller like this, there is nothing in place and it's all quite obvious that the goods a fake/counterfeit and yet they're allowed to sell using eBay which is absolutely wrong in my eyes.

How is it that eBay get away with this.

I haven't necessarily got anything against counterfeit goods but the fact that eBay like to try and offer certain things with authentication and then other things have nothing to guard against that is kind of a double standard and outwardly, they have Chinese sellers basically selling lower cost articles claiming to be genuine. Not everyone is swiitched on enough to know the difference here so basically are completely over paying for what they believe is genuine when in fact they're buying fake goods.

Thoughts on this eBay???????
