I’m starting this thread to just gather together information regarding what to expect next.

Since all the threads regarding the stupidity of Simple Delivery are just complete and utter higgledy-piggledy now.

Which has made me just give up on all attempts in reading them in too great a detail as they’ve become overwhelming to the point of distraction.

Alas, I just simply want to cut out all the bs and get to the point.

So for the most part simple delivery has been rolled out as mandatory and the tide is closing in on private’s sellers like me who can still opt out.
I am so tired, frustrated and sick with fear and dread for the future of us the private sellers.

I just need to understand what the blue blazes is going on?

I am getting that there are issues in some areas with incorrect SD postage labels and miscommunication in regards to what the post office are supposed to do when that happens.

And that there has been no help from Customer Service because they don’t know their bums from their heads.

EBay sent an email out in regards to trying to fix the postage rates issue, I read it and I noticed that they had conveniently ignored the hullabaloo about their SD being rejected by us all and they are alienating us the private sellers and have completely cocked everything up and ruined eBay.

I feel like I have just been left in a void of uncertainty and now I am currently trying to offload as much as I possibly can before SD is enforced; so feel free to check out my listings while you can because I can’t say with definite certainty how long it’ll be before eBay gives me the boot.

So are any of you private sellers who are still on here feeling that same confusion and void of uncertainty and there being no proper clear answer nor explanation as to what is expected from us now?
Do we just put on a face and carry on as normal, is that what they expect?
How can we operate as normal and carry on processing and posting orders with so much uncertainty?

How dire this predicament we find ourselves in has become.

With no proper direction, clear answers nor any real explanation as to what is expected from us now?
Do we just put on a face and carry on as normal, is that what they expect?
How can we operate as normal with so much uncertainty?

I don't know what to expect but - I do think a lot more post offices understand what is supposed to happen with SD - and therefore will accept items, compared to a couple of months ago. And I've heard that the post office issued labels from QR codes should be updated (at some stage) to remove the sizing/weight issue completely.

On the general points - who knows. You probably will have seen the recent planned change to promoted listings if you use that.

Expect more changes (probably).

Yes, I did see that email but it was all Greek to me, even after reading through it a few times. Didn’t make any sense as to what eBay was trying to say.
