The holding of funds from GSP for 14 days continues. I currently have 3 orders with no tracking updates. All sent by Royal Mail 1st class tracked. The usual - tracking is updated to RM Midlands depot - then Nothing.
Ebay blames Royal Mail "glitch" - RM blames ebay. Nothing is done. I have spoken to ebay customer service 5 times. They just blind you with science, but the bottom line is they cannot/will not help. Before 4th Feb whenever I sent by GSP I *always* received an email telling me when an item had been shipped from the hub. I then received another email informing me of delivery to the buyer. This all stopped on 4th Feb 2025 (coincidence?). Of course ebay can't tell you an item has been shipped or delivered when they are intentionally witholding payment for 14 days from the seller can they?
The customer service agent could not explain to me why these notifications had stopped 🤔
I asked which courier I should use to avoid a 14 day wait for payment. He couldn't give me a straight answer.
Ebay are shooting themselves in the foot. With the New "Buyer Protection" racket, delayed payments and 14 days wait for overseas payments, they will soon end up with just tat or Amazon re-sellers on their platform after forcing out genuine sellers. After 14 years on ebay it is such a shame they are ruining what used to be a decent platform with their own Kamikaze actions. So Sad - and So Unnecessary.
