Buyer wants to change item

Hi all

Buyer wants to change item to other similar item in my eBay store but not cancel original order.

Unusual request but happy to do it as new item he has chosen is less than the original items value, not talking a lot of money just a few pounds difference, total order is low value and our conversation is recorded in the comments on original order changing the item 

Do I cancel the original order or go-ahead and post the different similar item?

DO NOT post the different item, the seller could then open a not as described case against the original item.

Buyers cannot cancel orders, only you as the seller can. I would write back and advise you will cancel their original order, this will initiate the refund and ask them to put the different in their basket and pay for it Separately.
