where is the vat invoice? I cannot find it within the ebay system I have looked at order details...!!

As a private seller you cannot issue VAT invoices.

As a private person you cannot claim the vat back so the receipt you can print from the order page will do just fine.

that is not correct the hmrc / C&E rules state that any one can have a vat receipt as it can be used to make a claim! I already won a claim against BT!!

You can but only if seller is vat registered . if not no vat receipt. Not vat registered no vat was charged.
