Hey, I keep getting a popup saying 'Get £10.00 off when you purchase in our app!' saying it expired in 5 days. it doesn't give a voucher code so how do i get this discount to apply to my app order?
those all all the instructions it gives.

for anyone also having this issue I finally managed to get the code to show up on the app by reloading the app a bunch of times.

What was the code used

I have also had this. I scan the QR code, nothing happens, or sometimes the app freezes. Previously was a £5 voucher with same problem, now a £10 that expires in a few days. Spoke to customer support who weren't exactly helpful, they saw no coupon on their side (which figures, because my problem is I can't redeem it when the QR code doesn't do anything) and were implying it's some kind of advert (which shouldn't really matter, if ebay is offering me a free coupon then as long as it is legitimate, it doesn't matter where the source is). It's a modal popup on the desktop site when I am browsing through for items, I'm not clicking on some dodgy third-party pop-up on a random site. Would be much appreciated if ebay could at least provide a code accompanying these and credit the account of anyone who has missed out due to technical problems on their end.

@blaze_x86 have you already got the app on your phone? The QR code should just be a link to download the app so you don't actually need to use that. If you don't already have the app on your phone then just download it from the app store. Then follow my instructions on the other thread to find and apply the voucher. That should work.

How much do you have to spend to get the £10 off ?

The ones I've had have been £50.

Doesn't work with other promo codes. One or the other. Just greedy.

It doesn't work. Tried everything above and nothing!

It is limited to one code per payment so, if you've already added a different discount, you won't have the option to add this one. Other than that, it does work, I've just used another one today. @herg74 talk me through exactly what you're doing and I'll try to help. If you can add screenshots, that may be useful.

Thanks. I haven't added any other previous discount and have 3 items to the value of £57 in my basket.

Ok, is that £57 not including any separate postage charges? If it is then the voucher should work. Tap on the Notifications bell at the bottom of any page while you're logged into the app. Does that show the voucher in a banner across the bottom of the screen?

There are no postage charges so that is the full price of goods. I just can't find it anywhere. I just give up!

@herg74 have you tapped on Notifications at the bottom of your screen on the app? See this post Re: £10 voucher complete scam? - UK eBay Community for screenshots of how it looks on an iphone.

Yes. Nothing at all showing. So frustrating as I have things in my basket that could be sold before I get the voucher.

@herg74 Ok, on the full desktop version, is the voucher showing at the top of your Summary page here: Summary | Myebay | eBay?
29-11-2025 11:44 AM
Yes it is showing on the desktop version, and it expires on the 1st Dec so thanks so much for your help. I take it I can redeem the voucher while using the desktop pc (my prefered way) and not the app on my phone ?

If it's a £10 off when you purchase in the app voucher then you need to actually check out and pay on the app but now you've found the voucer code on the desktop version you can manually enter it on the checkout page in the app. Ebay really do need to make it much easier to locate on the app as so many people are having issues.
On the app, once everything's in your basket, go to checkout and directly below the payment methods is "Add vouchers". Tap on that then manually type in the code that you can read on the desktop version. Then tap "Apply" and you should finally get the discount applied. Once you can see that it's been applied then you can tap on "Confirm and pay".

Thanks for that, I was looking all over for it as I'd missed it!
