There seems to be an epidemic of fake items on eBay

There seem to be so many fakes on eBay now that after decades of using eBay I am considering deleting the app. There seems to be no quick way to deal with these fakes.  Refunds just don’t work to stop the fakes. I think it is too late unless eBay expel all sellers who sell fakes.

I just bought some fake electronic components and I'm having problems getting a refund. In this case I can test the parts to see if they're within spec but it's not always easy to tell if they're fake or not. Chinese parts are almost always fake. The rule with electronic components is to buy from places like mouser or Farnell and avoid ebay altogether. Ebay is still useful for stuff that is unlikely to be fake.
