So Disgusted By EBAY

So Disgusted By EBAY. You SHOULD BE ASHAMED!
Ebay in their Greed has now decided to charge Buyers " Buyer Protection " This means that the price the seller is offering to buyers has 5% buyers protection fee added by ebay. This fee is then kept by ebay even after Buyer has received item and left seller feedback. This also means that the seller has to either lessen their price to accommodate this added expense of maybe lose buyers as we are not prepared to pay extra to ebay. Ebay always had buyer guarantee which I believe they still have. I have been buying from ebay for over 15 years. I will be closing my account. EBAY, If Money is Your God, then I hope You Lose more customers because of it. Stop ripping off your buyers and sellers for GREEDY PROFIT......

You are not addressing eBay here,  but members like yourself.

Yep,  Buyer Protection introduced a while ago now,  agreed not popular by both Buyer and Seller alike.

The new big change on the books is Simple Delivery join in the many long discussion on the forum see how well that is going down with members! 🤔

You only pay this fee on purchases from private sellers, in you do have fewer protections from private sellers.  Not sure that the buyer protection helps in any way, judt giving you the facts.

Not Happy with Greedy Ebay

Ebay has always charged fees and it's fair that they should. They provide a service and they get paid for it. Previously the fees were charged to the seller, so sellers simply allowed for the cost when setting the price for an item.   Under ebay's new system, the charges are shown separately, added onto the listing by ebay. It comes to the same thing, in a way – fees are covered by what the buyer pays. The difference is, that the new system looks aggressive toward buyers and also it results in clumsy, unappealing prices. So no benefit to ebay, but a less pleasant experience to its users.
