Help with advanced search and 2 or 3 word descriptors.

Hello everyone, I am interested in searching for quite specific items and wondered how using the + sign as an 'and' operator works with 2 or 3 words such as... Ladies Tennis Shoes + Lace Up can Ebay pick up 'lace up' as a phrase or will it only work on 'lace' thanks in advance.

The search works on the first 4 words so lace would be included not up.

Or that is what I've been told by ebay.

You can search for an exact phrase by including it in quotes, like this:

ladies tennis shoes "lace up"
