Enhanced Buyer Protection That We Never Needed

I've been here in various forms for quite a few years, have had very few disputes and none I can recall that were not resolved in my favour by simple means.

So now I am expected to pay a surcharge of 4% +75p on everything I buy for something I've never needed in the first place. Well, I suppose they had to finance free selling for private sellers somehow . . .

Far worse for buyers of small items:

a 99p item now costs £1.78
a £2 item now costs £2.83
a £5 item now costs £5.95

or close to a 20% surcharge for these small sales which is outrageous and which I can see destroying the small item market for private sellers and buyers.

Bad news and a new low for this platform!

You won't have to at all.  You don't have to use eBay.

Personally I find the almost total flat rate inflated postage cost for tiny items the most annoying thing about eBay sellers but since I'd still rather buy on here than plod round the shops I put up with it.

This is the same thing.  Of course it's to make eBay money and of course their excuse for doing it is nonsense but no-one has to use eBay if it's such a problem to them.

Plus if you all chuck your toys out of the pram and leave I might save money because I either won't find things to buy or I won't pay so much for them if I do find them.

So thanks in advance.  😉
