Does the eBay money back guarantee still work if the sellers account is deleted?

Hi, just trying to make sure I can get a refund if I were to get scammed and the seller deletes or deactivates their account, thank you!

Sellers cannot close their accounts after recent transactions.   What usually happens is they are suspended by eBay.   Then often the item disappears from the buyer's purchases list so they cannot open a claim.   

If you're worried obviously it's best not to buy in the first place but if you do use your credit card ideally with Paypal then you'll have more protection.

Yes, the eBay Money Back Guarantee is still available.  If the item doesn't appear in your list of purchases then you would need to contact eBay Customer Service to open the claim.
