Late and/or missing packages from Evri ; who better can contact these people, the seller or the buyer?  I have three outstanding packages.

Re: Contact with Evri

Personally,  I would say  3 days past the estimated date for delivery is  more than a reasonable time to wait, then to contact the seller to ask if there is a tracking and when they posted the item.   eBay's estimates can be a tad optimistic.  However after 9 or 14 days,  I most definitely would have opened cases for item not received way before those timeframes.

As said, buyers open case if within 30 days of purchase and if there's no tracking to show delivery they are guaranteed a full refund,  the buyer does need to escalate if not refunded within 3 days otherwise doing nothing,  the case close through inactivity.

It's up to the seller then to chase up compensation for themselves from their couriers.

Re: Contact with Evri

Are you the buyer?  Then,  you open cases for item not received when a reasonable time passes the last estimated date for delivery.  As a buyer you do not contact Evri,  if you are still within 30 days of that item's last date for delivery.

It's up to the seller after refunding you,  to chase up compensation for themselves, from Evri.

Re: Contact with Evri

So we have ETAs and now "reasonable time passes the last estimated date." What do you consider reasonable?   In my  last two Evri deliveries, one was 9 days and the other 14 days past the ETA. I don't think either of those is reasonable.  But that is no what this thread is about. In those two cases, I contacted the seller and finally received the package. Did the seller do anything (contact Evri) or was that just dumb luck?

Re: Contact with Evri

I would give it 10  days past then contact seller, they may not be aware it hasn't been delivered. so to be polite give them a a chance to rectify you'll have up to 30 days to open a case. so give the seller time.

In answer to you seller contacting evri possibly or dumb luck some times can be both.

If i contact ROYAL MAIL i can guarantee it turns up the day after was it my call or was i just lucky?

Re: Contact with Evri

Thank you for your reply but I think 10 days past ETA  is too long for Ebay ETAs. I often buy relative to ETAs.  I would say 3 days past ETA is sufficient to ask seller what is going on or even open a case.  I sometimes buy from China and their ETAs are long but usually arrive in time if Evri is not involved.

Re: Contact with Evri

They used to be very reliable but their service has gone downhill and it seems to be endemic in a lot of areas.

Re: Contact with Evri

Either! All that actually matters is the tracking number is available for the packages. Thankfully I have a direct email to Evri's customer services, which is a darn sight better than using their website Chat Box.

Re: Contact with Evri

I really don't see how a   "direct email to Evri's customer services"  will help.  Maybe it would in the nineties.

Re: Contact with Evri

Don't know why you think emails would be no good since the 90s, but it obviously does work as cke786 stated it's a lot better than a chat bot!

Re: Contact with Evri

"obviously?" There is nothing obvious in her statement what so ever, nor yours. There is nothing apparent and nothing that is certain. Perhaps you have this "direct email to Evri's customer services?" Emails from Evri to me come as: Do Not Reply.

Re: Contact with Evri

If i was expecting royal mail yes 3 days, if i was expecting evri i'd give it 10 days, evri are very poor compared to royal mail. You may get an email saying it out for delivery then it finally arrives 2 weeks later,

Strange attitude  on here......why all the cynicism and picking holes that are not even there.... If you can't leave a helpful post, which is what this community page is for, then don't bother to read the posts.

Re: Contact with Evri

True! But they didn't used to be as bad, well, at least they weren't in my area. But the long delays now and the questionable tracking 'updates' they give you are, well, questionable! I've even noticed on a few occasions that the date given of when they took delivery of items have been changed to a later one when they've had the item in their hub for a few days with no movement! 🤔🤨

Re: Contact with Evri

Yes, I have seen them change the ETA dates to appear to appear later than the original date.  Evri's tracking seems completely fake, much like their chat bot dialogue.
