tracking number isn't recognised

I'm still waiting for a refund on a returned item.  The seller agreed in his messages to refund and I escalated with ebay.

The ebay returns page specifies "Your tracking number isn't recognised" but I have checked and double checked and it is correct.

The post office tracking website states that the item was delivered and signed for and shows the signature.

How do I further escalate this receive my refund?

This happened to me.

did you send to outside of the UK?

It seems that Ebay does not track further than the UK when sending to some countries, even though Royal Mail shows full basic tracking and delivery albeit took their time to register on their site,  whereas when I used a global tracking site for Finland, it showed complete tracking before Royal Mail showed complete ANNNND,  included more details about it's progress and messages they sent to customer via sms, advising of delivery, moreso than what Royal Mail ever shows!

Yet, I have just checked and it's still showing as just leaving the UK on Ebay, so they can't be getting worldwide tracking info!  Best to upload a screen shot of the tracking info from the global site if it's still not showing on the Royal mail site.

You will have to contact Ebay (Live Chat or Request-a-callback is in Help & Contact at top and foot of any page). If you used the returns label supplied by Ebay, there's no way the tracking number can't be correct.
