put an item in my watch list, seller then sent a discount offer and i accepted and paid. my order was then cancelled by the seller with the reason being one item mising and incorrect postage, a short while later was sent another message saying item found and it has now been relisted with the correct postage if i want to purchase again. this seems to me that they had just put the wrong postage on and didn't want to sell, they could have at least contacted me first to say they had made a mistake, i have done the same thing once and still sent the item at a loss, is this acceptable to do on ebay dosent seem fair if a seller can just cancel an order without the buyers consent if they are not happy with the price they get, thanks ... I am looking to buy a campervan and have recently messaged around ten different sellers about going to view their vans.   Every single one has returned an out of office reply with another email address to contact. I have emailed a couple, believing they might be fraudulent, just to see what response I get - but I have had nothing back.   After messaging one final seller this morning  - who looked very kosher, the ad and the vehicle seemed very genuine - and getting the same 'standard' response about the message not coming though and being asked to email a random email address, I have become suspicious that my account has been hacked. When it comes to buying Gemstones, why is EBAY so happy to allow adverts which state the gems are real or natural when in fact they are man-made and fake?????Buyers MUST have all stones tetsed but must also be aware that fakes are becoming very convincing and even experts ar being fooled. Its only if stones are subsequently cut and polished that their true status becomes known.Perhaps the selling of all Gemstones on EBAY should be banned otherwise EBAY is also profiting from sales of FAKE and fraudulent items via their commission.     This wastes people's time. It's just crazy that you can't filter out 'collection only' items. Don't ebay realise how much business they're losing? Suppose you want to buy a secondhand/antique table or a wardrobe.  95% of the items listed are going to be 'collection only'.  If you aren't able or don't want to collect such a large item,  this makes browsing through the results too annoying to bother with.     People have been moaning about this for years and years and yet it must be a five minute fix.     ... I put in a request for a refund on an item which was sold incorrectly. I won this appeal and sent the item back. i did not recieve the refund, in fact i was told the case had been shut and sent to paypal. I tried to reopen to get them to look and see that I won the appeal, had sent the item back but not received the refund.
