I need to talk to someone at ebay concerning a refund. Options listed on the help? page sends me round in circles. I have phoned 2 numbers in the USA found on line but they just send me back to the help? page. Advice please.   Geoff. ... View more

It has been more than 8 calendar days and I have no option today 02/07 to ask ebay to step in. yet ebay emailed me on 24/06 00:39 o say could ask ebay to step in from 01/07. We are 02/07 08:45, it is more than 8 calendar days...   ebay sent me email on 24/06 00:39 to say - seller accepted return - another email same day, same time, a few secs later to tell me that seller said cannot provide return label but I should contact seller (which I did) to ask for prepaid returned label (was refused by seller) and that if i was not successful I could ask ebay to step in except there is no option to do so.   could it be because ebay extended return timeframe.   ebay is not joinable they expect le to join them by clicking option, but step in option not available.   what can I do please.   i very much appreciate your time, help and kindness in this matter. miss v ... So I ordered a couple of items from someone in another country (US to UK). This generally incurs a customs fee which I am fine with as the items are a hassle to get in my country however I generally order a certain amount at a time all together so that paying the customs fee feels "worth" it to me.   So they sent out 2 of the items but did not send the third, more expensive one as they had "oversold" on it by mistake, they sent me a message the day after sending the order and refunded me the amount that item cost, without waiting for confirmation on what I wanted to do. I didn't check my messages until today when the order arrived with that item missing and having paid the customs fee which prompted me to investigate.   Now if I had known this item wasn't going to be in the order, I wouldn't have bothered ordering the order as a whole in the first place and I certainly wouldn't have bothered paying the customs fee when it arrived in my country which cost about 2/3rds of what the two items cost essentially making the order more than I was willing to spend for just those two items. Even if I get a refund on the order as a whole I'd have to spend more sending all the items back so I will have lost money and have no items.   Do I have any recourse here? I tend to be pretty chill about this kind of thing but I'm pretty aggrieved with this. Especially since now that third more expensive item has only gotten more expensive in the time since I originally made the order during which I thought "well that's fine because I already have it". ... Hi, I am close to deleting my ebay account. Every time I enter password am told its wrong. I change password and login. Next time I login same happens and I have to change password. Am I the only one or are ebay just being bloody awkward for some reason. thanks ... View more

I purchased a handled mug  when it arrived the mug had no handle this despite the original listing clearly stating in the description a number of times that the mug came with a handle . I'm sorry to say, I've been duped a few times. I see a picture of a lovely dress and it's not too expensive. It's only a jersey beach dress with no tailoring, zips or fastenings so I wouldn't expect it to be expensive anyway. My expectations aren't unreasonable as it's fairly easy to make.   When it arrives...... it's nothing like the picture. It's a different fabric. A nasty cheap shiny fabric. The dress in the picture is full and flared with plenty of fabric and the one I have in my hand is cut straight and short. The colours are vaguely similar but not in the same pattern as the dress in the picture. I've been conned again!!!   I try to filter out international sellers in the hope of dealing with a UK seller. It doesn't work. The Chinese still advertise a UK address then send from overseas. Some of them even have warehouses based in the UK.    I can of course return the item as it's not as described but that'll eventually go against me and make my account look bad if I kept getting conned and kept going through the system.   eBay needs to do something. They need to put in place a rule where a seller must have an actual picture of the product they are selling. They should be held accountable for breaking this rule outside of the return system.   ...
