fake items on ebay

I am sure I will get my money back through ebay, buyer beware; I emailed a message to ebay have a look below:-

This is a wholly unacceptable affair, these idiots(or perhaps consciously fraudulent) name removed to protect the guilty are still waffling and failing to address the problem, I have not received a response or acknowledgement from yourselves about this matter, worse they are still selling what I am sure are fake products together with many others on ebay, that means thousands of disappointed and/or ripped of users. What does one have to do to get ebay to act?

I tried to contact you last night and the system gave the attached message and I lost everything. Perhaps “email us” should actually mean that and you should change that option to “message us”

I have been looking to buy an Android tablet, initially I did a search and made a purchase item *** from what in hindsight was a dodgy seller, I am still waiting a refund. Your system in these and the following circumstances makes life difficult as the item and/or seller disappears from ebay.

Now I go to my next purchase Item number xxxxxxx, everything about this transaction is fake, delivery, item and communication. Please examine the messages with the seller regarding the return and my efforts to get the item I ordered or even one remotely matching the description as listed. They now expect me to return it and have not sent me a prepaid return label. I am now 18 mins into this. The seller has sold 123 of this item, I suspect that most people will not realise the item is fake until it is too late, I suggest that you contact each purchaser and suggest they install and run an app called “Fake Device Test” which will demonstrate the problem, at least one person has left negative feedback with the same problem as me.

Additionally if you search for 10.1” Android tablet there are thousands which I suspect are mainly fake, especially if they are selling for around the £50 or 60 mark, I note that eBay item number:xxxxxxxxxxx is from someone who I suspect has purchased a fake item and is now reselling/resold it.

I am reminded that there are 2 or 3 more items that need my attention, in my experience it is mainly Chinese sellers that create these problems and I am not sure what is to be done but enough is enough.

I have now spent 45 mins on this, I have raised a number of points, please respond and do something about this, my time is valuable.

Regards

Mike

When complaining about something it's always best to keep any communication simple and precise, and take any ranty type language out of it.

To be honest, I wouldn't even bother to read that in it's current form, but would if it was presented differently.

This is an ebay memeber forum, ebay never look here, so they won't respond to you.

If you have a problem with an item, open ebay case for item not received or not as described, if not resolved, escalate to ebay on day 9,

ignore seller excuses.

Hello Mike

ALWAYS PAY THROUGH PAYPAL ...

Good luck!! Skellywash

Right let's look at your accusations.

Firstly to accuse anyone of selling a fake item you need absolute proof.

And how do eBay do this?.

eBay are not sellers they are a platform for buyers and sellers to use.

You admit to purchasing a fake item.

Did you go to CAB or Trading Standards to report it.

And when you do get your fake items why are you communicating with the seller.

The eBay MBG system is there for the purpose of taking the hassle out of a return.
