Unwanted item

My son made a seller an offer on an item By mistake. I have contacted the seller but they responded with other items to buy. I’ve message 5 times now to explain what happened and to ask them not to accept the offer but they have. How can I get them to cancel the offer please

If it`s a private seller, they are`nt obliged to, but if it`s a business seler, then your entitled to change your mind, but if they won`t respond, i`m not sure what else you can do. if you have`nt paid yet, the worst that can happen, is that the seller opens an `unpaid item` dispute, which may give you a strike on your account, but you can appeal that decision afterwards.

The only other thing you could do i suppose, is pay for it and when it arrives, resell it back on.
