Scammed :(

Hi there,

Just bought a new Graphics Card for my new pc. I shared the links with friends as it was cheaper than usual (£425). After buying it with paypal, my friends noticed a item description that didn't appear for me.

Apprently the seller posted the item to stop bots from buying and there aren't any refunds.

What can I do?

Thanks.

If you don't get the item or it was not described correctly obviously you're entitled to a full refund.     Open a relevant case on here:

https://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/

and escalate after 3 business days.

Do about what? You haven't said whether there's any problem with the card, or even whether you have received it.

It doesn't matter what sellers say about no refunds, you are still covered by eBay's money back guarantee - but note that it only lasts for 30 days.  It's worth taking the time to read the full terms and conditions, see: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.html

Warranties are another matter altogether. It's best to assume that warranties will be worthless - even manufacturers' warranties are liable to be invalid for items bought here. Why do you think items like your graphics card can be bargain priced? A lot of items sold here are seconds, grey imports, clearance stock or customer returns to big online retailers like Amazon, which are often sold off as job lots and end up being bought to resell on eBay. Sellers often don't want to know about any problems or after-sales service.
