Hello,
I have purchased an item which when received is 'not as described' in the description.
I want to return the item and started the return process however the seller is stating that this is troublesome and is only offering a partial/small refund.
What do I do as I want to return the item for a full refund?
Ignore seller, carry on with case, escalate to ebay after 3 business days.
What you do is ignore the seller, and follow the instructions within the opened return request, ie. escalate the request to Ebay on the date shown if the seller has not done what is required of them by that date (which is to either accept the return request which will auto-supply you with a returns label, or to refund in full without the need for return). Ebay will either force a full refund from the seller without the need for return, or supply you with a tracked returns label at the seller's expense.
Of course it is troublesome, he has to provide and pay for a Return label.
If you want a full refund stick with it, he cannot refuse as you can escalate and ebay will force a refund and they may not even require item to be returned. If ebay get involved seller does not get the selling fee refunded and they get a Defect on their selling account.
