How do I report a dangerous item to ebay ?

I just received some alleged hand wash.

Its bleach !!!

How do I report this to ebay..and maybe you too ?

No one should be handling this stuff, especially children !

 know the difference between this and a genuine hand sanitiser

Is your seller a UK registered business?

If so, call Trading Standards tomorrow and report them.

All you can do via eBay is to open a not as described return.

If your seller has more make sure that you leave a well worded feedback to warn other potential buyers.

And I leave "carefully worded feedback" and then he writes a load of rubbish about me no doubt

There is something very wrong here, if a child got a hold of that thinking it was "safe" as it says on the bottle, who knows what might happen ??

In case you're still unsure what to do, you report the item to Ebay by using the 'Report' button (there's one on every listing). Look through the report dropdowns for hazardous materials or similar.

And if the seller is a UK business seller, you should obviously report this to Trading Standards too, as Ebay is unlikely to be the only place they're selling on.

You could also report the listing directly to Trading Standards.

Regarding the item you have received, have you opened and completed a case in the Resolution Centre?

No, I would like ebay to do something about this, it appears there is no proper way for doing this.

I would also like potential buyers to be aware of this.

However ,it appears that even without being explicit about the product and the seller I am told I have been reporting someone, and have to rephrase something ??

No, the seller is not reportable to trading Standards..I tried !

It is not that simple is it...interpretations can be quite different or else YOU would have not replied thinking I was going to report YOU when I was only quoting what you wrote in your opening post!!!

Responders on here give their time to reply to the best of their knowledge ( we are not mind readers) and TBH have never, ever had such a hideous/idiotic experience ..

You are right...I will need more than a crystal ball...I will need some paracetamols which are jolly hard to come by! 💊💊

I am concerned with that of any other member, especially with those who have children.

Buying that product could have VERY serious consequences for them.
