How can I ban a member
Unless the member in question has committed a serious breach of eBay policy and has done it several times before and is one step away from eBay chucking him or her off of the site then you won't be able to get the person in question banned from the site as such; however, if you add the buyer's User ID to your Blocked Bidders List then it will prevent him or her from being able to purchase anything that you list for sale on the site.
In addition to the advice which has already been given, if you haven't already done so activate the function to prevent e-mails from any blocked bidders from getting through to you, just in case the member in question tries to bombard you with unwanted e-mails. To do so click on this link https://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences and a new page entitled Buyer Management will appear on the screen. Scroll right down to the bottom of the page and tick the box next to the sentence that says "Don't Allow Blocked Buyers To Contact Me." If you have never been involved in a transaction with this member then the blocks on that person's messages will kick in straightaway; however, if you have recently been involved in a transaction with the person in question then the blocks on his or her messages will take longer to kick in than they would have done otherwise. However, once the blocks kick in the person in question will not be able to bombard you with unwanted messages. You can also prevent him or her from being able to contact you via the eBay Community if he or she sends you a private message via the eBay Community - just open the message, click on the box that gives you the option to block further messages from that person and from that point onwards it will not be possible for him or her to send you unwanted messages via the eBay Community forums either.
