My best replies of 2010 are tucked away in the thread I started just before Christmas -
http://community.ebay.co.uk/topic/Autograph-Collectors-Ttm/Discussion-Topics/2010-Good-Year/20000226...
In a nutshell, I will not top my reply from Will Buckley this year - an outstanding success. 2010 was easily my best ever ttm year.
2011 - to get less signed books as I have run out of room. 🙂

My bestest reply had to be from Billy Mathieson ex rangers player and cwc winner who sent me a gift of a fully signed team sheet of the 72 cwc team which would be amazingly hard too get.
Plans for 2011 is to keep on sending out to my teams ex players and too hope that i get a reply from Ally McCoist wrote twice now with no reply so will try again in the new year .

Emma I cant say we had a best reply we had some surprise replies from people that really shouldnt have sent requests back because they are so well known and up on that pedastal we thought they wouldn't bother...and some we didnt get back that so should have....
Our main bad luck of the year was Kevin working with Carrie Underwood as a stage hand on a gig she did and not being able to ask her for an autograph for fear of losing his job.....so close yet so far
She's one request we sent out that we haven't had back that should have....and Jess' favourite
Although there's still time 😄

It would have to be the Ronnie Clayton autographed book that I had back just a couple of days before he passed away.........Quite possibly the last graph he ever signed.
R.I.P Ronnie Clayton (5 August 1934 – 29 October 2010)
I also had a signed autobiography back from Wayne...Not too many back from Man Utd's No9 so that will be up thee also the latest Sir Bobby Charlton I had back which completed my 1966 Team photo now signed by the 9 remaining members from England's finest footballing hour. Also the full graph from Nigel Mansell 😛
As Joe pointed out...I also take pleasure in seeing all my requests return signed.

Not a major name I know but, I was pleased to get Noel Blanc's sig at the third attempt. For 2011... more voice actor sigs and some more additions to my Jack Benny collection. Although they won't be TTM. No post boxes where they are!

Tough one to answer this, but I will try.
I have always thought my best reply was from Brian May (Queen guitarist) for several reasons.
I have always wanted his autograph even before I started collecting, I have admired his work for years.
Not only that, he was really hard to get, I had sent several requests to him before being successful.
Other replies that I consider to be one of my best are, James Herbert, Su Pollard, Alison Hammond and Rik Mayall - all of these of course I really admire them for the work they have done but mostly because they didnt just sign a pic and send it back like most replies I get but I go the following.
James Herbert appologised for it taking so long and answered in detail a few questions I put to him.
Su Pollard also sent me a sort of thank you card with a very nice reply as well as the signed pic I had asked for.
Alison Hammond gave me a telephone call and a signed pic.
Rik Mayall even shared a joke with me.
Basically the last 3 made it a lot more personal for me, the showed to me that they sat and actually read my letter and paid attention to what I said and not just signed and sent a pic, they went to a lot more effort than others I have got.
I like all my replies, but I think they have to be my best ones. That is the best answer I can give, so many to chose from and it really is difficult to pick out one single signature.

I only sent two. 😄 One back in July for my daughter to Florence of Florence and the Machine which we still haven't heard back from.
The other was Pele, I apoligise I don't mean to be rude but I have forgotten who said it was a sec as Pele only does official signings but I am still adamant it is genuine as it is almost identical to so many from official signings I have seen on the net.
I might push the boat out next year and double my output. 😄

Mine would have to have been Steven Gerrard, only because Liverpool don't seem to allow ttm requests.
Worst without doubt was the Wayne Rooney stamped graph, why spoil a good Doig print with a stamp X-( - just send it back unsigned.

well its common knowledge if i do a ttm request then suddenly the star stops signing,3 choice requests sent,no luck, but i love reading everyones successes on here.
my biggest let down was a refusal by black metal gods venom for a private signing session, citing time constraints, though i know the singers working at starbucks between concerts,i may pop in,i think his management didnt speak to him.
this year i'm looking forward to a signing session with paradise lost in london,my favourite band,in april depends on partners health 😞

One more - one my wife loves as well, and is going to be framed for the living room - Jeff Dunham (and friends :-)). This guy has made us laugh more than most over the last couple of years. Got this and a signed record card via venue in Wolverhampton when he toured here in Spring 2010.

Mine has to be my last one of 2010 which I posted yesterday, that being Joe Bolton ex Sunderland footballer. He signed the programme SIX times, my pic and cards and also added a two page letter. Great reply from a player I remember from my youth.
