Sent 76 Cup semi-final programme and card to Gordon "Merlin" Hill via his coaching school in USA. Great to receive a reply - signed the programme cover (he scored both goals in a 2-0 win) although he did not sign my card but did include a great photo celebrating one of the goals of the 77 cup final. He also returned my letter and wrote at the back (Enjoy Charlie)

Gordon Hill played over 100 times for United over a three year period. An exciting winger who never fully fulfilledhis promise. A bit of a nomad who played for numerous teams around the world. Settled in USA where he runs his own club (United FC)

#5 not half - i don't know why but that team of the 70s was really special. The way the were managed by the Doc contributed to some exciting times. Pity he got the sack after the 77 Cup Final!!
