What a bad week!

Well I dont know what has happened to my success rate lately?  Ive had nothing all week after a pretty good run of successes, I seem to get replies in splurges, several each day fora while then I completely blank for a bit.
Dont you wish it was consistent?  I personally would like to get a steady stream of them instead of a load in one go then nothing.  When I have a period of nothingness it feels like I go through withdrawel symptoms lol - I sit staring out the window for the postie, when he comes with any post I cant, for the life of me, resist the urge to leave it there and not run to pick it up lol.
My wife often teases me too, if she happens to pick up the post I will ask if I have anything, sometimes I have and she just hides it for fun! lol
I love this hobby but man, it can be a pain in the arse too! lol

Steve, I went through the same in December. I only had one reply during the month, but since the start of the new year it seems to have picked up a bit. I've since had a few replies that had been out there a while. Hopefully your replies will start to roll in again on a steady basis. It is nice if you get a reply each day but it never seems to happen like that.
Anyway, good luck with all your ttm's this year. I look forward to reading your write-ups.

It's funny - the part of the hobby that frustrates many collecting ttm (ie; unpredictable reply times) is one of the aspects that gives me a buzz. It would be so boring if you knew when every reply was coming. I love the surprise aspect of it - amazement at quick replies, astonishment when a reply turns up after several years away, and basically not knowing what will turn up day to day. Also, every now and then, some days bring multiple replies and it is like Christmas has arrived early. 🙂

#3 Nigel I agree with you this time...although we hate not getting mail we love the feeling when we do get one back it def wouldn't be the same if they turned up every morning...
Steve...at the minute we wont be getting any back cause we've only sent Jess'bandana out to Mr Dickens to sign he's 90 years old now and Jess so wanted his autograph on it we had to rush it out again when it came back after taking ages from Mr Charlie Daniels will post pictures when it comes back....along with my Patrick Stewart...cant seem to take a good enough picture they seem too dark...

steve,all us ttmers go through that at some time,the hobby can be very frustrating,i had a shocking time over the last month,think i had about 3 replies in about 6 weeks,must admit i was getting miffed about it,but soon as a few start coming in,you forget about the downside of it,and move on with another request:-)

I was getting a bit fed up as I hadn't had a reply for a while until yesterday. When you finally see that SAE come through the door, it's quite a buzz.

Same here Brian ...Arsene Wenger signed book early on this week, Nothing since...Maybe tomorrow.
That's what's great about this hobby, You just never know what or when it's gonna turn up...But if you send a request per day sooner or later you'll get a reply a day.
I'm hoping to get a couple of books a week out so I'll be happy with one back each week. 14th of Jan today and I have had 2 back so far.
