This weeks purchase and replies

As my sons are playing Star Trek on PS3 (another thing I've introduced them to after Batman/American comics and the X-Files-gave up trying to interest them in football and autographs about 10 years ago) I've been able to upload my replies-

My purchase this week was Brian Greenhoffs autobiography off ebay.I tried writing to Brian some time ago but had my letter returned unopened and I'd never tried him again.RIP Brian

My first reply was to get some cards signed by a former Liverpool player John McLaughlin-

McLaughlin played as a youth with hometown club Liverpool, before making his professional debut in 1970. He made 40 appearances between 1970 and 1976.He made five appearances on loan at Portsmouth in 1976 and also spent time in the North American Soccer League with the Philadelphia Atoms and the Dallas Tornado

After a knee injury ended his professional career, McLaughlin later played non-League football for teams including South Liverpool, Barrow and Wrexham.

My next was from former Spurs stalwart John Pratt who played for Spurs between 1965-1979

He made his debut in April 1969 against Arsenal. Making 415 appearances and scoring 49 goals in all competitions.

My final reply came with Brian's help.He told me he quite often saw ex Rangers player Billy Mathieson,and he asked Billy if I could write to him.Billy signed both the team photos for me-thanks for the assist Brian.
