Signed books

Hi to all.
I collect signed books, new or old, signed by the author or the subject (autobiographies).
Also collect boxing and sports books.
Would be interested in hearing from anyone that either have books to sell or know how to arrange to have books signed.
Thanks

Hi
We dont collect books.....but I must say we dont walk past a charity shop now without checking the book area...all because of some great finds from forum members...we dont keep any of them we normally give them as competition prizes 😄
We collect autographs of Country Singers mainly from Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry...my 16 yr Old daughter is a big fan...

Welcome #1. As mentioned, I also collect autographed books. Most of mine come from bargain purchases (charity shops, promotions, etc) as I have a limited budget and collect on a shoestring. I limit in person signings to special people and occasional books of interest as new books can often be costly. I collect mainly biographies/non-fiction, and favourite fiction authors. I am also picky, and where possible try to stick to true hardback 1st edition, 1st printings in nice condition. I also sell a few I find that do not fit my personal collecting interests to help fund my hobby. Without the latter I would not have a hobby. You can see my autographed book collection here -

Two threads on here may be of interest to you.

Any I have for sale can be seen by collecting View Listings under my profile name thehornets.

Sundays can be quiet, so I was going to post about my oldest signed book in the Signed Books thread later on which was also one of my first charity shop finds a few years ago.

Welcome to the group, And what a great bunch we have on here, You'll be made most welcome. I collect signed books too mainly the 1966 legends and Sport but always check out the charity shops for signed bargains.

I do send quite a few books TTM to get signed and have had some fantastic results..Neil Hodgeson,  Nigel Mansell and Ronnis Clayton, R.I.P were the last three back.
