That's because I didn't manage to get to the Stanley V York game yesterday as one Mr. Bobby Grant invited Briteny and myself down to Shrewsbury to watch him play against Oxford Utd. We had written a letter to Bobby, Stil Briteny's favourite player, a couple of weeks ago saying we would at some point this season visit him at Shrewsbury wher he is now wearing the No 24 shirt on loan from Blackpool. Shrewsbury club secretary Jayne Bebb contacted us last week asking that when we made the trip down to notify her and she would inform Bobby.....Once Briteny found this out we had to be at the next home game which was yesterday. Met up with Bobby and Jayne in reception prior to the game Bobby passed onto us Player complimentary tickets with use of the players lounge before, At half time and after the game, We had hoped to have half an hour with him after the game but with other commitments, An ice bath for one, and interviews, we just had 10 minutes.....He produced one of his match worn shirts from the dressing room for Briteny as a gift whch he signed and has invited us down for their last home game against Plymouth on 2nd May and has invited Briteny on the lap of honour around the pitch as he did back at Stanley 5 seasons ago. How can we refuse that....Only trouble is Stanley are at home the last game also....might need points for 2nd divisio survival by then...........We'll see.
As we wre at the ground early we saw the Oxford team coach arrive...Picked up a programme and got 6 squad members to sign , Keeper Ryan Clarke, Danny Hylton, Danny Rose, Partick Hoban, Michael Collins and Jamie Ashdown plus manager Michael Appleton....Also added man of the Match and 2 goal Shrewsbury hero Liam Lawrence on the back of the programme along with team mates Ryan Woods, Being watched by Burnley and Conner Goldson.....And Bobby on the shirt............Plus Club Secretary Jayne Bebb signed a pic of herself in the programme as without Jayne's help this would have not been possible....Box of Chocolates for Jayne on our next trip. Thanks to all at Shrewsbury Town FC for making Briteny's day, One very happy lady..a long 12 hour round trip but worth it to see the smile on her face when she saw Bobby in reception.

Now need to pick up a Stanley Programme from yesterday's game against York City for a TTM team request.
Sounds like a brilliant day Alex really good of Bobby to do all that nice to know some footballers are down to earth, and a nice bonus too managing some graphs as well
