Louise Distras

This is about one of my favourite people from 2015. I went to see UK Subs at the 100 Club in early January, and Louise was supporting them. She blew me away with a powerful performance, but her song words also resonated with me. It is so refreshing to see someone young with the conviction to stir people up to fight a corrupt and broken system. The public has been brainwashed by a controlled media system for so long, and we need more like Louise to make a stand. She also recently made her debut on a tv news programme talking rather than singing, and did very well in a brief slot. Hopefully she, and others like the young poet in the news feature with her can get others fighting the system.

To keep it graff related, I have a few bits and pieces. Her album signed in person at the 100 Club, a pair of red/white vinyl 7" singles, and #1 of 300 in a  limited cd release of her single Bullets, plus a handwritten note that came with it.

She has bene recording some new material, and I look forward to seeing her again at the 100 Club supporting GBH on 07th January.

Nice one ...support real music with a message rather than the **bleep** that is played on the mainstream radio and programmes like the x factor

Most of the music I buy is from bands or artists who do not have big contracts - a lot of diy stuff.

Services like Pledgemusic have been brilliant for allowing bands to fund releases through fan pledges, and the fans get something back through their pledge purchases. I have picked up some nice signed items through this.
