So sad to hear of John Hurt's passing. He did so much fantastic work, a really wonderful actor. Any favourites? As an Orwell fan I loved his Winston Smith though it breaks me to watch it he us so devastating at the end. More recently he was brilliant in Doctor who- fabulous to the very end.
He managed to be quite heartbreaking in so many of his films and he stood out as the world weary man. So good as the War Doctor and in Deadline among many others.
