Eric Clapton failure...worth a try though

This is one of the autobiography's that went out TTM from the 4 for a £1 the other week. Eric is on tour, his "50th Anniversary Tour" at the moment and has just done a week at the Royal Albert Hall, London so the book went out to him VV on the 20th of May. The book has been returned today unsigned but with an Eric Clapton photo with a pre-printed sig on it..Never mind, recycled stamps used both ways and unfranked again ..the book and stamps live to try another day.........Not the best end to a non productive week for me..but this is all part of this hobby...Not everyone's a winner..Not even with a book....Now I know that this venue passes on mail.

You don't try, you don't know. I'm like you Alex - if I'm told someone is hard to get or does not sign, I want to try regardless. Every now and then this approach brings surprises. Not this time, but better luck next time. The Royal Albert Hall is an ok venue for requests. As is the Hammersmith Apollo which people always have on lists as a no go venue. I have two successes from there.

Alex bad luck mate ,now I think his cousin still drinks in the Football club that my wives Mum runs Eric sometimes goes in there but its like once every 5 years or so ,I will ask my wife too speak too his cousin and see if I can help out in anyway will not be this weekend though but the next one .worth a try mate:)

He's  in Europe till the 14th of June, Germany, Poland  then I'll hit him again..I have another addy for him.
