I found this first edition book "The man who loves Giants" from 1975 in a local charity shop for £1 a couple of months ago..having already found a signed copy of a later edition , 1989, of the book I thought I'd try this TTM..E-mailed his wildlife foundation and was given the go ahead to send it down to them on the 1st of June as David would be visiting in early June..So I sent the book along with a donation to one of the many projects they are involved with and waited. Today the book has been returned via David's private address and he has kindly thanked me on a compliments slip as well as adding a signed photograph. He's One of the greatest wildlife artists living today.
Richard David Shepherd CBE FRSA FGRA (born 25 April 1931) is a British artist and one of the world's most outspoken conservationists. He is most famous for his paintings of wildlife, although he also often paints steam railways, aircraft and landscapes. His work has been extremely popular since the 1960s in limited edition print reproduction and poster form, as well as other media such as Wedgwood limited edition plates. He has written five books about his art.
Thank you very much David Shepherd CBE.
