On 4/9/12, I wrote former US President Bill Clinton with an autograph request. Included were an SSAE and 3x5 card for signing. I received his reply today, 5/10/12, and instead of my 3x5, he sent a color 8x10 that was pre-signed, and my SSAE, unused. Not quite what I expected, but very nice, nonetheless. Address used is in the fanmail.biz database. Have a GREAT weekend, all!

Nice reply. May I ask what pre-signed means. Does that mean printed, it's just I 've never heard the term before.

"pre-signed" just popped into my brain at the time. what I received was a pre-printed autograph. sorry for the confusion!

Difficult to get genuine ttm from key political figures, so a preprint is no surprise.
In ttm, the term pre-signed does get used, but it should not be confused with pre-printed.
Pre-printed is as it sounds - a printed copy of a signature, not genuine.
Pre-signed refers to where a signer signs a pile of photos, and gives them to agent/staff to send out on their behalf. Very common in the world of ttm. They are genuinely hand signed, but outsourcing the task of sending them out to requestors.

Pity it's not the real deal but, not surprising considering who he is.
