At eBay, we want to relieve some of the pressure from your business in the face of the changing circumstances around COVID-19. We understand you need the flexibility to sustain your business and as part of the support we’re putting in place, such as increased seller protections and the fees deferral programme, we’d like to give you another option.

We will now refund your shop subscription if you have to shut down your eBay shop for an extended period of time*. For April or May, or both, if you turn on your holiday settings and hide all fixed price listings for the full calendar month, eBay will credit back that month’s shop subscription. If you turn on holiday settings and hide all fixed price listings for 13 days or more between 1 and 25 of a calendar month, but not the full period, eBay will credit you 50% of the month’s subscription.

To opt into the refund:

  1. Accept the invitation to opt-in any time from today until 25 April to get your subscription refund for April and May. You can also wait to opt-in before 25 May to get your refund just for May.
  2. Turn on your holiday settings and hide all fixed-price listings. If you’ve already turned on your holiday settings and hidden your fixed price listings, all you have to do is to opt in.
  3. Receive your refund back to your account - see our terms and conditions for details.
