Cancellation but payment is processing?

Hi,

Just sold an item but the payment is sat as processing.

Instantly, literally 2 minutes after the buyer bought the item, he requested to cancel. I tried to accept the cancellation but it says I don't have the funds in my account to do so (I imagine because the payment is processing).

The only other way is to pay the buyer from my debit card, but I haven't received funds from the sale. This feels like a scam to me.

Anything I can do?

Don't refund a different way to how the buyer paid or they could end up getting the money twice. If you're signed up to ebay's managed payments it will take at least 2 working days for the payment to reach your bank account.

I guess that's what it is? I used to just use PayPal but today had to put my bank account details in. My issue is, I have to accept or decline the refund within like 3 days.

You should be able to accept the cancellation and it will happen when the funds enter your account. That should be by Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.

It just tells me I cannot accept it without funds to process the refund...
