Question Re: Dealing with returns. in Selling on eBay DND

Has buyer opened ebay case?

If not do nothing.

If they open case for change of mind, you can refuse it.

If they said not as described, you will have to refund, unfair I know,

but only do this through ebay case.

Dealing with returns.

I sold an item in the last 48 hours, listed as a "no return item", then received a message from the buyer stating he wants a refund because his "missus has changed her mind". I will of course be out of pocket if I give a refund. What are my options?

An update to this, I have just discovered that the buyer has already posted the item back to me, before I have even answered his request for a refund. Can anyone give me some advice on this?

Thanks in advance...

The most you will be out of pocket is the paypal fees, all other ebay fees will be refunded to you as long as they open a return item case and pay for the return postage and the original item is returned in the same condition as before.

Best to refund relist and move on.

Buyers always have the option of starting a Paypal Case if they do not agree with ebay and it will drag on and on.

As it's a change of mind return and your buyer has paid the return postage his refund should be his purchase price.

You as the seller are not responsible for his return costs.
