Question Re: Rolling pin removed in Selling on eBay DND

Even if ebay agreed that it was stupid I would be very wary of relisting in case it was removed again. What CS might say verbally is no guarantee that it would be wise to relist.

If it had previously listed without problems, then it tends to mean that it was reported. Most reports are ignored but if it is stupid enough someone acts on it.

Looking at your listings this item is in your Completed Items and it says that you removed it. When ebay removes something it usually disappears.

If you removed it yourself it might be safe to relist with the Pastry baton removed, as that seems the only thing that could cause offence.

It really is a joke there is a seller who has sold 100s of Rubber Bullets (Baton Rounds) and reporting that is a waste of time, but much more dangerous than a Rolling Pin.

So, I have had a rolling pin listing removed due to violating the weapons policy.

"Vintage 1960s wooden rolling pin, pastry baton 35cm"

I think it is the word baton that may be the problem. The listing has been running for months and only when I ended and relisted it as part of the £1 promo did this happen. The wording was unchanged.

Normally I would not relist anything ebay had removed but this is so ludicrous. Does anyone know if I remove the phrase "pastry baton" it would be OK, or are rolling pins really considered weapons now?

No-one here can know - we're just ordinary ebayers. You will have to ask Ebay that question. Live Chat and request-a-callback are available in Help & Contact during working hours.

@twfan11

I ended it myself because I got the £1 listing promo. Then when I relisted it it got taken off very quickly and that one does not show in completed listings.
