why retract multiple bids?

Hi! Im a new seller, im a market trader by trade but lockdowns and things have lead me to consider online selling and so selling online is new to me, May i ask why a bidder would bid on 3 items, then retract all 3 bids saying wrong amount entered, how can you enter the wrong amount 3 times?? i dont beleive the person entered the wrong amount. im happy they did such a thing as my new business doesnt need problem buyers at this early stage, ive found out how to block the account. is there anything else i need to do?

All you can do is block her from bidding.

She is a serial retractor with 837 retractions in 12 months. Not sure if you can still report her for invalid bid retractions any more but eBay wouldn't do anything anyway.

I don't understand retractions for such low value items especially when there are lots on offer. I have seen worse serial retractors who would put in a ridiculously high bid to find out a reserve or to find out the highest bid.

Open the item in question.

To the right of the current bid price figure (or winning bid if auction ended), you will see {x bids} in blue. Click this which opens the page with all the bids then scroll to the bottom where you will see a box with bid retractions and cancellation history.

Click the retractors ID, this will give their bid history.
