Question Re: complain about ebay regarding resolution centre decision in Selling on eBay DND

Sorry, but did you manually add the tracking to the case when the buyer opened it?
It may have updated automatically to the sale but it won't have done that to the case.

To appeal you will need to contact ebay cs, try LiveChat.
If you have the proof showing delivery on a date prior to the buyer opening the case then you should win the appeal.

I sold an item on eBay. Tracking record shows that the item has been successfully delivered at the correct address. However, the buyer claims that he hasn't received it and made a claim through resolution centre. eBay ruled in his favour despite the fact that I was able to show tracking record of successful delivery. eBay arbitrarily refunded the buyer using my money! How do i complain about this? I understand if I can't show sucessful delivery, but I can and I supplied the info to the resolution center. This is aweful. How do i complain? Many thanks

If the tracking showed delivery to the address Paypal gave you when the buyer paid then you should have won the case.

Did you post the package to the address Paypal gave you?

Did you add the tracking to the sale when you posted the item and also to the case?

Did you enter the tracking number into the transaction details at time of shipping..? Or, at the very least, into the correct place in the case, and not just as a communication note...? If so, as long as it showed delivery to the correct address, the one on the PayPal payment confirmation email, the case should have closed in your favour. That it didn't, suggests that you didn't enter the tracking number into the correct place, or didn't do so within the permitted timeframe, or tracking showed delivery to a different address, or the tracking number you entered was wrong.

If you've not been provided with an appeal link in the decision email, go to Help & Contact (top and foot of any page) tomorrow morning. Live Chat and Request-a-callback are available during working hours. I recommend the latter for this particular issue.

@lullangtre0

Thanks for getting back. 'Yes' to all of your questions. I did post the package to the address Paypal gave me. The tracking is automatically updated and the tracking shows that the item has been successfully delivered. I think I should have won the case, but eBay ruled against me. What can I do next to appeal? eBay's own guideline shows that, as long as I can prove successful delivery, I won't be liable. I would like to peruse the case through the court/police if necessary. This is a matter of principle. eBay's ruling is completely wrong and out of order. I would like to complain.

Thanks for your help yesterday. Just to let you know that I appealed and eBay granted the appeal in my favour. I have now been refunded. They will also remove any negative feedback. Thanks for your advice!
