If I sell an Xbox or PS5 pre-order and the buyer pays once I receive the console can they retract their bid? What about if they pay for it first, can they ask for their money back?

You can only sell this if you can deliver within 30 days of sale.

In any event you cannot sell as you are not a registered business seller.

And they are all doing it wrong. You are buying it to sell on, that makes it a business sale.

When speeding drivers get caught, do you suppose that 'Plenty of others speeding' will get them off the hook...? Of course not.

Trading on a private account is ILLEGAL. Those sellers will eventually be caught, by Ebay, Trading Standards and HMRC, and be booted off the site. Be sensible, and don't become one of them.

rusticrye Speeding is totally irrelevant of course that’s not the case. I’ve paid for a pre order and now for reasons outside of my control I can’t buy it and wanted to sell it. I’m not a business and I’ve only got one to sell, fail to see how this is illegal and how hmrc can get involved for me selling one item. If that’s the case anyone selling something on eBay and making more than they paid for it would be doing something illegal too. How many people have sold something on eBay and got more than they paid for it. I could understand if I had several that I was thinking of selling, but I haven’t I’ve got one which I have already paid for.
